4. Data collection on our website
Our website can be used without providing personal data.
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files". These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
These data will not be combined with data from other sources. This data is not stored together with the personal data of a specific user, so that individual page visitors are not identified.
The data collected is only used for statistical evaluations and to improve the website and protect against botnet attacks. However, the website operator reserves the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are specific indications of illegal use.
To protect against attacks, we use Cloudflare as a so-called "scrubbing" provider for our website (see 3.). To ensure the functionality of this service, it sets a cookie in your browser when visiting the website.
Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
The cookie set by Cloudflare (__cfduid) serves to identify trustworthy web traffic and does not contain any personal data. If your IP address is classified as potentially dangerous by the Cloudflare network, you will be asked to answer a security question in the form of a so-called "captcha". Said cookie contains an anonymized ID, which indicates whether the security query has already been resolved in your browser in the past, so that you are not prompted to do so each time you visit the page. More information: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170156-What-does-the-Cloudflare-cfduid-cookie-do
Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 paragraph 1, letter f of DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors.
5. Analytical Tools
This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland.
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both his website and his advertising.
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This will cause your IP address to be cut by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
Objection to data collection
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set which prevents the collection of your data on future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics.
Contract data processing
We have concluded a contract with Google for commissioned data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities for the use of Google Analytics.
Data stored at Google at user and event level that are linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. User ID) or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) will be anonymized after 14 months or deleted.
